About the Artist

I was an Art major in college and taught art in the public school system in Lexington, Kentucky for several years early in my career, and I have continued painting throughout my life. My paintings are acrylic on canvas and are mainly landscape scenes. I work very quickly and I find that acrylic fits my painting style just right. I use photographs and memory for inspiration. Once I began a painting, it seems to have a mind of its own, so I just try to go with the flow and stay out of the way. It also seems to me that later in life my paintings have taken on more depth and sophistication and are the best I’ve ever done.
